On 24December at our Christingle Watchnight Service we had a great time singing our praise to God and in making a Christingle and learning what it represents. It was great to have many visitors with us at this service and all left with their own Christingle [which they made] as a reminder of the service.

On 30 November, we had our St Andrew’s Night, with a live band Whirleijig. [www.whirliejig.co.uk] This was a fantastic night and the dances were fun and Whirliejig ensured that all had a great time. Thanks to all who helped in this evening from the kitchen staff, raffle donators and organisers to the band. We will repeat this in 2013.

On 23 December we again wentas a church family to the pantomime. This is a little closer to Christmas than last year and it was every bit as good as last year – better perhaps as we all had seats in the same area – in fact taking up most of one section. Old and young alike joined in and had a fun time. Just the tonic after all the rush upto CHRISTMAS.

burns-robertsFriday 25 January saw our annual Burns’ Night. Once again we had the young people from Caledonia Primary School as our performing guests. Last year they were great and this year we had 11 in total and they were even better than last year. [Something we thought would be hard to do] The night was a great success and thanks go to all those who brought everything together.

A very warm welcome awaits all who enter our doors stranger[though you won't be for long], returning worshipper or just visitor come along any Sunday for our 11 o’clock service. IF you want to talk to someone from the church then contact either George Grant [Locum] or Cathie McLaughlin [Session Clerk]

Yours

George
